The HK-5000G is an unmanned air vehicle developed by Aeromarine Intelligent Equipment Company featuring folding wings for operations from aircraft carriers. The 5 tons HK-5000G is a medium and high altitude long-endurance drone to carry out surveillance and strike missions carrying sensors and missiles. The drone is capable of staying airborne for up to 12 hours. The propeller powered drone needs a catapult to takeoff from an aircraft carrier and therefore is expected to equip the Type 002 vessel under construction. The HK-5000G drone was unveiled at the Zhuhai China Airshow in November 2018.
